Presidential Election 2020
Matt Seinberg

As I write this in late November 2020, I remain perplexed by the bizarre actions of our crazy sitting president, also known as the orange thing. I refuse to use his name, sort of like saying “Voldamort” in the Harry Potter books and movies. I don’t want dreadful things to come raining down upon me.

Biden is president-elect. Whew!

Joe Biden won the electoral vote by a wide margin, at least six million votes, and is president-elect; yet, our current idiot president refuses to not only concede, but to cooperate with the president elect and his transition team. No other sitting president ever refused to cooperate with their successor, and it is setting a very bad precedent. Biden is showing an unusual amount of patience, but I’m sure that is running out.

Even some Republicans are calling for the president to concede and cooperate with Biden and his team. Yet, Trump insists on trying to get votes thrown out and overturned in the states that he lost. How come Biden isn’t calling for the same thing in the states that he lost?

That’s because he wants the country to stay calm after the four tumultuous years that we just endured, under the orange thing. Biden believes that all the votes were legal and there was no fraud as orange thing is claiming. This stance is a result of the experience, dignity and integrity of Joe Biden.

Trump, it’s obvious, will do anything to remain in office, not lose face and undermine the Biden administration. What’s strange, is that he probably doesn’t want to do the job anymore, if he ever did. I’d be afraid, too, if I knew that I would be under arrest the moment I left the White House.

Just watch the new attorney general go after Trump with the IRS for tax fraud and evasion. I wonder how many years in jail he would get. Would it cause him to declare bankruptcy once again; Trump has never declared personal bankruptcy.

The president blasted the drug companies working on the Covid-19 vaccine for announcing that they had achieved a 95% cure rate after the election. Sure, they did it that way, just so he couldn’t take credit for it. That makes sense to me.

Trump likes revenge.

Then he announces that New York wouldn’t get the vaccine because they refused to go along with the federal government testing protocols. I guess he didn’t understand that Governor Cuomo said the testing was in conjunction, not separately. Revenge helps no one.

On 20 January 2021, will the Secret Service force Trump out of the White House, kicking and screaming like a petulant child who didn’t get his way? I can only hope so. Imagine the Secret Service dragging him out in front of all the news cameras, yelling like the maniac he is that he was robbed of the election, even though he never confirmed any sort of fraud was involved.

To date, Trump has lost thirty or court cases, thrown out his lawsuits accusing the election committees of all sorts of fraud because they supply no evidence confirming fraud. This is just an action to show the Republican supporters and others that he won’t go down without a fight.

My sense is he’s hoping his cases will go all the way to the Supreme Court, where he packed it with judges that he believes will be friendly to his wicked ways. I guess he doesn’t realize that the Constitution states quite clearly the rules of election, which the Supreme Court can not overturn.

President-elect Biden is starting to pick his advisors and Cabinet, all without the help of the current administration, namely the General Services Administration (GSA). Biden has already appointed Antony Blinken as Secretary of State. Emily Murphy, a Trump appointee that heads the GSA, is supposed to certify the election, quickly.

Murphy is kowtowing to the president by not certifying the election and just to hinder the Biden Administration. It’s no wonder that the country finally took its collective head out of the ground and realized that orange thing is not the person to lead the country out of the Covid-19 pandemic and set an example to the world like we know.

All orange thing was ever interested in was helping his rich friends and companies, and royally screwing the middle class. His tax plan was supposed to help everyone, but it only meaningfully helped the rich. Can we hope that the Georgia Senate recount favours the Democrats, who can then undo all of orange things stupid tax laws and reinstate the environmental standards put in place by the Obama Administration.

A reason for term limits.

There is nothing I would like to see more than Mitch “Turtle” McConnell reduced to Minority Leader. I still can’t understand how he was re-elected. He is one huge reason for term limits. Here’s looking forward to the new presidential administration on 20 January 2021.
